GRADE 2
Welcome to Term 3!
Grade 2 students love every moment of this term so far. They are really excited to be doing Gymnastics at ‘Jet’s Gymnastics’ on Mondays and having PE sessions with ‘Sporting School’ on Thursdays. So they need to be wearing their PE uniform on both of these days.
This term, in literacy, the students will be learning to write a Procedural Text. Last week, the students made their own healthy sandwiches in the class and wrote the procedure for it. Everyone enjoyed it!
In Numeracy, Grade 2s are learning about ‘Multiplication’ and ‘Arrays’. They are learning to arrange objects in rows and columns to make an array and use multiplication to find out the total number of objects in the array. The students have had some fun hands on activities to practise these concepts.
Grade 2s are learning about ‘Living Things’ in Integrated Studies. We learnt about the characteristics of living things, how the plants and animals are the same and different and how living things grow and change.
As far as the Homework is concerned, the students will have to complete some set tasks on ‘Mathletics’ and ‘ReadingEggs’ apart from the homework booklets and the Maths Plus Book. Please make sure that the students bring their homework in every Friday and complete their online homework. Thank you for your co-operation.
